b.b., guitar, slide and vocals

William “B.B.” Cuccinello is known as “the director”.  Actually, we affectionately call him the slave driver.  He’s the one that is driving this venture.  He’s driven to play the blues and does it as much as he can.  Scrumdaddy just happens to be his way of reaching utopia.  When you see him wail on his G&L Tele you say to yourself, “now that man has got soul!”  Born in Lexington, MA, BB started playing guitar back in junior high school.  He got waylaid from music in college when he started an extremely successful career as a commercial film director.  So he’s made a good living working with ad agency types, but at the end of each day he runs home, shuts the door and plays his guitahhh.

coach, drums and vocals

Rob “Coach” Carroll is freakin’ wired.  It makes sense that during the day he’s an electrical engineer.  We also think coach might be really bright, but we’re just not quite sure yet.  He often mumbles, “I’ve got a masters”, but we just ignore him.  What we do know is that he keeps a killer beat.  He’s a human metronome. Coach has been at it since he was 13, playing in high school dance and bar bands instead of playing high school sports.  He’s been to L.A. and back with his musical and professional career, and we’re damn happy to have him in the Northeast.

"reverend" jimi, guitar and vocals

Jim Ball has been playing his guitar and singing in bands since he was 15. That’s when most kids start getting “the itch”.  “I remember my mother telling me I couldn’t play that god damned music anymore.  At that time, I was playing my ‘Tele’ through a cranked up, old console stereo.  It sounded pretty good.”  The high point (or low) of Jimi’s musical career was when his current band’s music video was introduced by rock genius, Frank Zappa on the MTV basement tapes.  “We didn’t win.  I don’t think Frank liked us much.”  Jimi got his first book on how to play blues when he was 15 and a half.  Many year’s later, he is still working his licks.  He studies the blues listening to the old masters like B.B. King, Howling Wolf and John Lee Hooker. Oh yeah, and a little Stevie Ray and Angus Young.

 tommy boy, bass and vocals

Another east coast goes west coast and back again transplant, Tom Carr (Tommy Boy) is the newest member of the band. Tom is best known for being in some the premier "Glam Bands" that no one knows the name of. If you watch him play real close, you might think that Spinal Tap created the Derek Smalls bass player character after seeing Tommy play in Des Moines. Tommy Boy will actually tell you that Stonehenge was all his idea. Truth be told, Tom is a world-class audio engineer and producer now teaching at the Berklee College of Music while continuing his recording career back east. He's spending his valuable free time hanging and holding it down with the ever evolving rhythmic blue sounds of Scrumdaddy.
